You can access your email via an ordinary email programme or through your website using our webmail reader.

Read email using webmail

Follow these steps to read email that has been sent to your website's email address using our built in webmail reader. Be sure to note, to ensure your security, this requires you to log in twice. Once with your admin details, then with your email details.

  1. After using your admin details to log in to your website, click the 'Read Webmail' link in the Admin Menu.

  2. Next, enter your email details into the webmail login window.

The email reader's window will then be displayed. It is based on webmail software that is commonly used by many internet providers, so its interface may well be familiar to you already.

Use your own email programme

You can use your own email programme that is installed on your computer to read email that has been sent to your website's email address.

The first step will be to use email your programme's features to set up a new account and the details of this will vary depending on which programme you use.

During the account setup process, you will need to enter some or all of the following information. Examples are given, so be sure to use the ones that work with your own website!

  • Username This is the email username given to you by Community Spot Website Services admin. It will be in the form of This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Password Again, this will have been sent to you by Community Spot Website Services admin. It is a six digit mixed case email password given to you in the form of Xy42T3
  • Account type Set this as POP3
  • Incoming mail server Set this to mail.yourwebsitename.abc.yz
  • Outgoing mail server This is set in the same format, mail.yourwebsitename.abc.yz
